Dedicated to Rowan

The ramblings of a first time mother in relation to motherhood.

It is interesting how perspective changes.

At the beginning of August I started a 'diet' and exercise regimen. I use the quote around diet - because really I am changing my eating habits entirely. So this isn't really something that is temporary.

The interesting thing is - I am more focused about this right now b/c of Rowan. I mean it is one thing if I do this for myself only - but it is another thing entirely when I realize that I really want to set a good example for my daughter. I want her to see me making the right choices when it comes to food and working out on a regular basis. I would love for her to follow this example - but how can I expect her to do that if I am not doing the right thing myself.

Anytime I need inspiration, I remember that my daughter is watching me - even at her youg age - and it helps me to make the right decision.

I think that it is very important to model healthy behavior to set a good example for our children.
I have also recently started an exercise and eating program and my oldest daughter (4 1/2) likes to do yoga too.
